What is this?

CountMyCoins.com was created to solve a problem; a problem that probably doesn't exist. CountMyCoins.com was created by Matt Davenport to aid in the counting of any spare change.

Imagine the scenario: You empty your piggy bank after a good few months of dropping in the odd bit of change and fluff you have in your pocket. The day finally comes when you decide to take it to the bank. You empty the coins out onto your table and slowly move each coin to it's own separate pile, counting in your head as you go. This nearly always leads to losing track of how much money you have and a waste of an afternoon.

With CountMyCoins.com, this is a thing of the past.

How do I use this?

In order for CountMyCoins to help you count your change you must first know how to use it.

Step 1

Empty the change from your piggy bank onto the desk.

Step 2 (Optional)

Sort the coins into piles of the same type, this is not necessary but makes the whole process simpler. Put the coins in order from lowest to highest.

Step 3

Use the right and left arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the different denominations of coins. When the coin is selected press up/down on your keyboard to increment/decrease.

Step 4

Put your finger on the lowest denomination of coin while the same domination is highlighted on the website. As you move the coin to the side press up on your keyboard.

Step 5

Rinse and repeat until you have counted all your money. CountMyCoins will keep track of how much money you have in your counted pile automatically.

The Piggy Bank

The Piggy Bank is an additional feature that will keep track of all the counting you have done on this site already. To add an amount to the piggy bank simply open the piggy bank tab at the bottom and drag your current amount onto the piggy bank amount.
